First Aid Course
Anodyne Services Australia (ASA) and Diverse Training Concepts (DTC) welcomes your participation on this Australian course HLTAID003 Provide First Aid. These instructions are a guide for the trainee on how to work through this online system.
Your course contact is the instructor whose details will appear on the website upon your registration – refer to ‘Message My Teacher’ at bottom left corner of screen. You may also contact the instructor separately at any time by email or mobile phone, once details are disseminated.
You are required to login each time you wish to participate in the course. Please ensure your password is kept safe from persons not authorised to access this course. Please also note that your access will time-out if the system is left inactive for long periods of time. The system will prompt you to login again when this occurs.
To achieve the qualification HLTAID003 Provide First Aid, the trainee must demonstrate competency
in the following lessons:
- Respond to an emergency situation – An introduction to first aid and hazard management
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures – CPR, AED, diagnosis and treatment of casualties
- Communicate details of the incident – Reporting and documentation
- Evaluate the incident and own performance – Debrief and review process
The course requires that you work through each lesson and respective activity in sequence as listed in the course menu listed on the left hand side of the page.
The system will not permit you to skip a lesson or activity. You must complete the course in accordance with the listed sequence.
All practical lessons are conducted at ASA and DTC work sites, by arrangement with the trainee or the client.
All assessments and validation are conducted at ASA and DTC work sites. This will normally follow completion of the practical lessons.
Where there are group bookings, it may be possible to complete the practical lessons and the assessments at client sites. The results of each assessment will be provided immediately upon completion as will the result for the entire course.
Following successful completion of the course, the company will provide the trainee with a Completion Certificate which serves as proof of completion. The actual Course Qualification will be issued by DTC a few days later.
The final administrative requirement is the trainee completion of validation for each lesson. Whilst this is always seen as a mundane task we request your cooperation as it ensures that both the course content and conduct are maintained at the highest standards.
This qualification HLTAID003 Provide First Aid is valid for 3 years and requires renewal triennially. It includes the qualification HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation which is valid for 1 year only and requires annual renewal.
